Jennifer Simoes BSN RN CLNC CLCP
I am a nurse with over 30 years of experience in a variety of specialty fields and continue to practice clinically as a critical care nurse in an intensive care unit in Charlotte, NC. As a lifelong student, I am currently pursuing my MSN and enjoy providing medical educational trainings to attorney firms as well as insurance companies. I received my Certified Life Care Planner Certification from International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC) and my Certified Legal Nurse Consultant Certification from Vickie Milazzo / Medical-Legal Consulting Institute in 2007.
From a consulting perspective, I have 16 years of insurance defense experience with 10 of those working on a nurse team dedicated to catastrophic injury cases across the country. The exposure afforded me the ability to get a flavor for jurisdictional venues, various court systems, and the understanding of policy/coverage. Oil & Gas and NY Labor Law are specialized arenas and my knowledge base in these business lines is extensive.
Once called a "powerhouse" by one of my peers, I am passionate about what I do, pay close attention to detail, am highly driven, and have a distinct perspective and insight to claims. Attorneys are often pleasantly surprised that I can assist with medical, talk coverage and aggravating factors!
